Confluence Program Director

St. John's Episcopal Church

St. John’s Episcopal Church, Columbus is seeking a Program Director for its
Confluence Year program. Confluence Year is part of the Episcopal Service Corps.
Corps members are recent college graduates who spend 11 months living in Christian
community doing community service, spiritual formation, and vocational discernment.
The program director position is a 20 hour/week position reporting to the St. John’s
Vicar. The program director’s primary responsibilities are:

ï‚· Securing social service agency placements for Confluence members and
monitoring relationships

ï‚· Building and maintaining the Christian community of the Confluence members

ï‚· Facilitating spiritual formation of members including programming, retreat
planning, and integration of workplace experiences with spiritual and vocational
development Building and maintaining partnerships within the greater Episcopal
Church, Franklinton neighborhood, and the Columbus community.

ï‚· Administration of the Confluence program including budgeting, financial control,
communications, and recruitment.
Candidates should be motivated self-starters with exceptional interpersonal,
communication, and mentoring skills. Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding
young adults is a must. Candidates should be knowledgeable about the Christian
(preferably Anglican) tradition.

Applicants must have three years of directly applicable experience with a minimum of a
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Non-profit management experience and
demonstrated commitment to social justice and advocacy work is preferred.
