1. The Renew Retreat was a WOW! Please, Please, Please take advantage of this "free" wonderful event we hold each October. Gary will start advertising the 2018 dates as soon as they become available.


2. Reminder to RSVP for The Bishop's Meet & Greet: Thursday December 7, 2017.

Are you a paid youth ministry staffer or a primary volunteer in a church without a paid staff person? If so, the Bishop would like to invite you to a Meet & Greet. Simply her chance to say "thank you" for all that you do. Two opportunities this year. The event is free of charge. Have children? Bring them along. Questions or RSVP by November 20th to Gary at

  • From 10:30 am to noon (followed by lunch) at The Proctor Center 11235 State Route 38 SE, London, OH  43140   OR
  • From 6:30 to 8:30 pm (Refreshments) at The Synod Office 300 S. 2nd Street Columbus, Ohio 43215

5. The High School Connect (Formally known as the Jacob's Porch Retreat) at Camp Kern March 2-4, 2018. Basic information has been emailed out. Need info? Contact Gary. Registration opens noon on November 15th. Space is Limited.


6. The Bishop's Youth Ambassador Program (Our Educational Events): Two Opportunities

  • Sunday February 4 at Epiphany, Pickerington
  • Sunday March 18 at Trinity, Marysville


7. Gathering Update:

Gathering T-shirt Time Table: Gary will send a link to the see the design early January. Orders can be placed January through Easter. The cost of the t-shirt will be $10.

And, Gary will be soon heading to Houston for the Synod Day Gathering Training. Upon return he will begin to contact churches with the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of Synod Day...Scrip Team, Sound, Computer Tech, Greeters, Worship Assistants, Communion Assistants, Stage Managers and an After Team (to help prepare the room for the next group).
