The Southern Ohio Synod's 207 congregations represent over 94,000 baptized members of the ELCA. The Southern Ohio Synod equips congregations to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ by providing ecumenical resources, support services and programs that build and sustain healthy congregations.
"Synod" is a Greek word, which means to travel a common road; to walk together. This is the role of the Southern Ohio Synod. . . to assist our congregations and leaders to continue their walk together in service of Jesus Christ.
