Saturday Kids Camp - Every Saturday from 10 am - noon, children from the neighborhood join us for breakfast and lunch, Bible Stories, games, arts and crafts, field trips and more.  Volunteers can provide supervision and mentoring for the children as well as work as part of a team with volunteers and staff from our neighborhood.

Thursday Dinner - On Thursday nights, FELC and partners work together to host a home-cooked, community-focused family dinner.  Youth activities such as games, arts and crafts, etc. also run from 5:30 - 7 pm, and volunteers can be a part of the evening in various ways.

1. LSS Food Pantries: 4 sites

2. Faith Mission: (A Columbus Soup Kitchen for groups ages 14 and up) located at 245 North Grant Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43215

 

Lutheran Social Service Disaster Response:

  1. Opportunities for 1 day to 1 week mission trips to the Vinton County Distribution Center, McArthur Ohio where youth and adults complete construction projects for senior and disabled homeowners, including wheelchair ramps. The good folks at LDR can put together a custome designed experience for your group
  2. Opportunities for disaster response throughout the Southern Ohio Synod, including debris removal and long term recovery/repairing homes impacted by flooding and tornadoes
